Fremont just beat Viewmont 4-0. Who are these guys? We have been waiting for this kind of soccer through eight games.

High school soccer: Fremont steamrolls past Vikings
By Dan Rasmussen - Deseret News
BOUNTIFUL — It's pretty rare when everything comes together for a team on a soccer pitch.
So when those fleeting moments arrive, you try to relish every second of them.
Quite simply, Fremont showed up to play against a side that's always one of the best in the state. Over 80 minutes, almost everything that could go right did go right for Fremont, and almost everything that could go wrong did go wrong for Viewmont.
The result was a stunning scoreline.
Leading 2-0 at halftime, Fremont fullback Mason Russell scored a killer third goal in the 59th minute and Cory Craynor added a fourth three minutes later as the Silver Wolves ran riot in an incredible 4-0 upset over Viewmont.
"This game," said Russell, "was amazing."
All spring, coach Bryan Gines has believed that his guys could be a very good team if they came together. For one afternoon, that's exactly what the Wolves did, and they'll undoubtedly hope to build on Thursday's victory throughout the rest of the season.
"I've said all through the year that we've got the potential to be a very, very good team," said Gines. "They can beat anybody, but we've had a hard time coming together as a team. … They're just starting to trust each other and play as a team."
That much was evident against Viewmont Thursday afternoon.
Five minutes after Viewmont star Isaac Pitt hit the inside of the post, Scott Chambers scored to put Fremont ahead 1-0 in the 12th minute, and Alec Stimpston scored from the penalty spot to double Fremont's lead just two minutes later.
Viewmont did start to come into the game near the end of the first half and was only a goal away from potentially swinging momentum completely around. However, Fremont got to halftime with the score at 2-0, and the Wolves ran away from the Vikes in the second half.
Ultimately, it was Russell's huge third goal that made all the difference in the world.
From the right side, the fullback got the ball from Stimpson following a quick free kick in the 59th minute. He took a couple of touches and unleashed an unstoppable shot in the net.
Craynor added a fourth three minutes later, and the rout was on.
"Our speech (at halftime) was, 'Two-0 is probably the most dangerous score you could ever have. You've got to go out and score," said Gines. "And they took it to 'em in the second half. They just started passing it in the middle and nobody was holding the ball."
Inasmuch as Thursday's match was completely exhilarating for Fremont's players, coaches and fans, it was completely miserable for Viewmont.
The Vikes, a semifinalist a year with a young team, entered this spring with huge expectations and could still ultimately live up to those expectations. However, what was on display Thursday afternoon won't get them anywhere.
"That was not Viewmont soccer," said veteran Viewmont coach Dave Wigham afterward. "We will be looking for 11 players starting tomorrow — all positions are wide open. They took us behind the wood shed."
