A disappointing showing for the Silver Wolves on Tuesday. The Standard Examiner article about the game was largely a write up on the Lancers, but it did manage to talk a bit about the 'Wolves: "Fremont, perhaps looking for revenge against the team that ended its season in the state 5-A quarterfinals a season ago, got the jump early when senior forward Corey Craynor scored in the second minute. 
Layton quickly had an answer though as Adam Evans leveled the scoreline at one in the fourth minute, and the Lancers surged ahead on freshman Nick Thiros' 17th minute strike from sizable distance that sank just under the crossbar.
The Wolves leveled the game at two on Austin Jex's free kick from beyond midfield that hopped through several players and inside the far post in the 22nd minute."
