Layton (7-8-3), making its third semifinal appearance in coach Rick Talamantez's 14th season, will face Region 1 rival Viewmont in Tuesday's semifinal round game at Woods Cross High School. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:45 p.m.
"It was an exciting feeling," Rigby said. "I just got up there, got a bit lucky and was able to get my foot on it."It feels great to be moving on and going to the semifinals. As a senior, you can't ask for anything more."
