From the Standard Examiner: "PLAIN CITY -- After a dismal showing a week ago, the Silver Wolves needed a kick in the right direction.
Literally.
Sophomore forward Jordan Preator scored in the first overtime period to lift the Fremont High boy's soccer team to a dramatic 1-0 victory over Davis on Monday afternoon at Fremont High School.
The goal is Preator's team-best seventh tally of the season and moves the Silver Wolves to 7-4-0, snapping a two-game losing streak and moving within one point of the Darts in the Region 1 standings.
It was also a rematch of last season's state 5-A title game, which Davis won 1-0 at Rio Tinto Stadium.
For Davis, it marked another frustrating turn in a season that started out strongly.
Davis, which was 6-0-0 overall two weeks ago, is 1-2-1 and has been shut out in three of its last four games to drop into third place on the league table.
Kevin Mead earned the shutout in goal for Fremont, the Silver Wolves' fourth shutout of the season."
