Fremont 3 - Layton 2

From the Standard Examiner:
"LAYTON -- The Silver Wolves aren't where they want to be.
Not even close.
The Fremont High School boys soccer, however, isn't afraid to admit it.
"We aren't even close to where we want to be," Fremont forward Jordan Preator said. "We want to get better; we want to be hitting our peak as we go into the state tournament."
Preator was the hero on Tuesday, scoring the game-winner in the 58th minute as the Silver Wolves rallied from a 2-1 deficit to defeat short-handed Layton in Region 1 action at Layton High School.
"I'm just trying to work hard," Preator said. "I want to do whatever I can do to help the team win."
Preator's goal was his team-best fourth of the young season, as Fremont snapped a two-game skid and moved to 3-2-0.

The Silver Wolves raced out the gate early, taking a 1-0 lead in less than 30 seconds on a goal from Dalton Gullo. Alec Stimpson earned the assist on the play.
Layton was knocked down to 10 men after a straight red card in the 15th minute, but the Lancers rapidly scored twice in a five-minute span to take a 2-1 lead. Jordan Steed scored both goals for Layton.
Matt Mitchell scored for Fremont against the run of play to make it 2-2 at halftime.
After Preator's go-ahead goal, Layton was hit with a second straight red, giving Fremont a two-man advantage. The Lancers (1-4-0) created several quality buildups and had a pair of shots at an equalizer, but ultimately the Silver Wolves' defense held when it counted.
