Fremont Silverwolves started the second 1/2 of the soccer season with tie at home against Layton. We had plenty of chances to score - we took far more shots on goal, but we came out with a tie. The weather was ghastly with rain, wind and cold the entire game.
The Standard Examiner's big story about Tuesday's games was that Weber beat Davis. That is potentially good news for us. Davis has been beaten twice: by Viewmont and by Weber.
From the SE: "At Plain City, Fremont led 1-0 at half on a hustle play by Derek Lee, who collected the goal. Laytom came out in the first 10 minutes to build a 2-1 lead, with Tate Baxter scoring both goals. A short time later, Fremont's Corey Craynor took a free kick by Kent Smith at the 54th minute and headed it in for the equalizer. both teams had a couple of chances from there on out, but with no scores." They fail to mention that we went through both overtime periods without a goal.
Current league standings have Fremont in third with a record of 4-1-2. Go Silverwolves!
Team Two lost their game 2-1.
