Fremont vs. Davis

The game started out in a pretty exciting way with two scores in the first 90 seconds, but sadly, ended with a score of 6-2 with Davis having scored 7 of the 8 goals today. Their ability to move the ball was more than Fremont could handle. In the first half it appeared that the teams played pretty evenly, but with 15 minutes to go in the second half, it was all Davis.
Our first score was made by Alec Stimpson, our second by one of Davis' fullbacks (a move I'm sure he is regretting even to this moment.) Even though we had 'looks' at he net, we were unable to put another one past the keeper.
The silver lining for today's match was that many players got time - some more than they are used to.
We felt that the officiating was pretty good today - an oddity in high school soccer.
We hope to fare better against Syracuse in Thursday. I'll try to get today's stats and some pictures posted asap.
Team 2 played Davis more closely, but lost it's decision 1-0.
Fremont's record in league play: 2-1
