Fremont at Layton

The season is here - no more pre-season guessing and subbing and (hopefully) cold. We played Layton on St. Patrick's Day on their soccer field. We were able to welcome back two seniors to the team; Cody Hunter who was out last week playing with ODP in Costa Rica and Cory Craynor who was out with an injury.
The weather was beautiful, the field was not, but Fremont was able to prevail in its first regular season game. Our score came 14 minutes into the game on a pass from CeeJay Anglen to Derek Lee. We had other chances to score in front of open nets, but were able to hold onto the win with good play by the Defense. Luke Weston was "awarded" a yellow card after a hard fought battle for a header.
The boys in blue played well and came away with their first win of the season. Fremont's record: 1-0.

Team two ended regulation with a 1-1 tie. Coach Freeman was able to arrange for the game to end in a Shoot Out rather than a tie. Fremont won this contest.
